Come As You Aren't Game
This role-playing kit will help couples experiment, improvise, and seduce in ways they may not have otherwise imagined. To use the set, one partner draws a "Who," a "What," and a "Where" card, puts them in an envelope, and then gives the envelope for their partner. From there, it's up to the two of them to enact the scenarios as they see fit.
Kit contains 20 "Who," 20 "What," and 20 "Where" cards, one "For Your Eyes Only" envelope, and a pad of 25 "Come As You Aren't" appointment forms.
TOOL SHED TEAM REVIEW
This is a very funny (and punny) game! Because it involves actual role playing in scenarios that can occur outside the home, this game may be best enjoyed by folks who already have at least some experience and comfort with one another. In order to make the role playing mutually enjoyable and successful, the ability for couples to communicate is important!
Each "Who" card features a character to role play, including their name, occupation, a brief description, and even a suggested costume accessory. The cards indicate no specific gender or orientation for the characters, and language describing them is gender neutral. For example, one character card reads:
Name: Van Go
Occupation: Art Thief
Accessory: Leather Boots
"Van Go is extremely wanted in several countries for meticulous and intricate art heists. Privately wealthy and very intelligent, Van does it for the thrill-- and loves the challenge of breaking into seemingly impenetrable fortresses and touching people's most private property."
The "What" cards include directives, such as "Keep your shoes on all night... no matter what," or "Make continuous physical contact with your partner."
The "Where" cards include a location, such as "A Park Bench," or "A Living Room."
Cards could be chosen at random, or chosen after a careful review to best suit the couple's adventure level. Some of the physical activities suggested on the cards require moderate physical mobility, but other activity cards are more focused on saying specific things to your partner, or playing with power/control dynamics.
This game is a fun jumping off point for the ideas and implementation of role play. Plus, the box is sturdy and pretty, making this a fine gift.
