Who remembers the old style heavy carpet beaters in that vaguely Celtic knot shape? This is Leatherbeaten’s heartfelt homage to that device. Why Josephine? Because that's how the knot is known in polite seafaring circles, if such things exist. If you're interested, it's actually a two dimensional, three part, four bight Turk's Head.
This incarnation of Josephine consists of two parallel twists of 5mm round leather, forming the head, and the handle is made with an attractive French grapevine braid. Face width of 3", and the overall length around 10".
Exact coloring of leather may differ from photo, as each Josephine is unique!
